What’s A “M.O.M.”?
At One Nation Under Mom, we often get asked “Who counts as a M.O.M.?”
M.O.M.’s are what we have coined “Masters-Of-Management”! They are whoever in every household makes the vital decisions for what the household will consume.
The Masters of Management in a family can be:
- female or male
- young or old
- parents or without children
- married or divorced
M.O.M.’s are the choice-makers who make a majority of the decisions on what and how each family will shop and consume.
In many cases, I am speaking directly to mother’s out there; but in fact, I was the M.O.M. or Master of Management in my own family at times for my own parents: I started asking them to buy chemical free cleaning products and to shop locally at our Local Farms in Connecticut. Even though I didn’t have children of my own, I knew, especially because my Mom had been first diagnosed with cancer in 1993, that our family needed to reduce the amount of chemicals in our home. We started slowly but together we began to make key changes!
While it was too little too late in terms of her own battle with cancer, I have chosen to dedicate myself to helping M.O.M.’s everywhere be their family’s Master of Management! Take control of what and how your family consumes. As M.O.M.’s do this more and more, together we can turn around our health problems and strengthen our economies! It is so very simple & doable!
So to all of you single women without children, or husbands or single men, gay couples, sons and daughters who care about their parents: YOU are M.O.M.’s too!!
Even though much of the feel of OneNationUnderMom.com will sound like it is geared towards mothers, please know that we are actually speaking to every family’s Master of Management!
